A long stroll is beneficial for the body and the brain. All of our limbs are used, and when we move, our appetite and digestion become more active. When we finally reach our destination, we are ravenously hungry, and we enjoy the meal we have at a dak bungalow or the food we took with us. And what a peaceful sleep we have after setting up our tent for the night till the noises of nature’s creatures wake us up at dawn.

Intimate conversations with others we meet on the trail or at our rest stop can be added to all these hiking benefits. When conversing with a stranger, we lose sight of who we are as people and our occupations. On a lengthy hike, we encounter all kinds of individuals. Just as they are open to exchanging ideas with us, we are interested in talking with them.
