Planning a Disney Vacation with Family: Costs Included!

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive when it comes to Disney Parks is how much a vacation cost. I’m sorry, but I don’t have an answer for you. Many components of a Disney vacation are unique to the individual taking it. Things to remember include where you’ll be travelling and how long you’ll be away from home. To help you plan, a general summary of the costs associated with a Disney vacation is below. We’ll start with the Disneyland Resort, then move on to Disney World and the Tokyo Disney Resorts.

Note: Choosing a vacation week is a bad idea before considering the cost. Have a list of dates that work for your group, and then compare prices to find the most affordable choice. Even if it’s not always practical, doing so will save you money in the long term.

Flights to Disneyland

I won’t put a price on this since I don’t know where you live. Flights to Disneyland from around the country are available at reasonable prices, provided you’re ready to be flexible. The closeness of the three airports to Disneyland accounts for a significant portion of this. If you want to visit Disneyland, flying into John Wayne (Orange County – SNA) Airport is the best choice. All three of these airports should be considered while searching for flights. Both LAX and Long Beach Airport are good options as well.

If you live on the west coast or even the western part of the United States, you’ll have no problem finding flights under $200.

Also, consider how you’ll travel to and from the airport. If you’re heading to Disneyland, public transit to and from the airport is the most cost-effective and time-efficient option. If this is the case, the cost of transportation should not exceed $10 per person.

Hotels Charges – $150 per Night

When and where you go will have a significant impact on this. Inevitably, rates will rise during peak seasons and at the most exclusive accommodations.

Even at the busy times of the year, hotel rooms may be available for as little as $150 per night. The location of the hotel is more significant than its lavishness for Disneyland. In general, the less costly hotels are equally as nice as, the more expensive ones, with a few exceptions.

Park Hopper Tickets

A trip to Disney World will be the most expensive portion of your holiday. A park hopper ticket is an excellent investment if you plan to stay more than one day.

The quickest and easiest way to get tickets is via the Disneyland homepage or at the park, but it’s not the least expensive. For $382, Park Prodigy offers a 3-Day Park Hopper pass, whereas a 4-Day Park Hopper ticket is $402, and a 5-Day Park Hopper ticket is $431.

The cost of Food is $35 Per Person.

The counter-service at Disneyland is outstanding, so I recommend just eating in the Disney Parks. A few sit-down meals are strongly recommended but can significantly increase the expense. Breakfast at McDonald’s and lunch/supper in one of the parks is the best idea.

Souvenirs

The price will increase depending on how often you come and how much you’re prepared to spend. Only a few t-shirts and unusual mementoes can be on the shopping list when visiting Disneyland. Depending on what you purchase, you can keep a separate amount for this!

Total amount

For a five-night stay and a three-day ticket for a family of four, the cost is something in the neighbourhood of $3,000. Besides that, it’s a rather flexible stance in different areas. A trip to Disneyland for a long holiday weekend costs Lorry and me around $1,500.

You should also take advantage of any travel bonuses or other discounts that your credit card gives you, which we think is a great idea. For more on DVC resales, selling or buying DVC, check out DVC Sales today!
